NEW IN FEBRUARY!
Join veteran writer and artist Sharon McCameron Whyte, MFA in thestudio with pen, pencil, watercolors, magazine cut outs, stamps, photos and other ephemera to create an "extraordinary" keeksakefrom "ordinary" items bound together and re-imaged in an art journal. From blind contour drawings, pencil and watercolorsketches of botanicals and still life vignettes, watercolorpaintings of objects in nature, to contemplative writing, Sharon will teach you the basics on how to document life, make a dream journal, document a sweet memory, or an unfolding event (like wedding preparations, the birth of a child, getting ready for retirement, or self reflection).
Chronicle your experiences in an intimate pictorial format.
Our first lesson will be spent gathering supplies, discussing formats, and decorating the cover of your journal. Sharon will provide some artsupplies, you can bring some from home, and we will combine these artistic tools for a creative stash of supplies that everyone can use. Lesson two will be a sketching/painting lesson and writing session. Our third and fourth lesson will be spent exploring and documenting our own personal experiences.
This is not just a workshop for the artist or writer, but is an experience open to all who seeka more creative relationship with your inner artist.
4 lessonscompleted journal for $100. Journal and some artmaterials provided. Saturday mornings . Call for times and dates!
